A few years ago back in 2011 I saw “Made in America”, an ABC’s World News special produced by Diane Sawyer and hosted by David Muir and Sharyn Alfonse. This was all part of a new series that brought awareness to companies that entirely manufactured and produced products that are “Made in America”. So I too wanted to take the challenge of finding well crafted, quality, American-made furniture that is sophisticated, classic and timeless in its design.
My first stop – Red Egg. I recently had the pleasure of touring this quaint showroom at Highpoint Furniture Market this past October, and I learned that their wood product line Double Happiness (love the name of the collection) is currently being manufactured in North Carolina. Here are some pieces from the Double Happiness collection:

I am a sucker for hand-finished furniture pieces made from reclaimed barn wood. Furniture From The Barn is a family business that spans three generations nestled on the family farm in Chester County, PA. The furniture pieces embody qualities of a master cabinet maker in its design, with each piece handcrafted and hand finished by local artisans and craftsman.

Finished in slate blue milk paint, with white accents doors and Queen Anne legs. A Classic yet charming twist on French country.

Love at first sight! These pair of Saddle Stools with Turned Legs is a rich cherry wood painted black with light distressing and hand grips on the sides of each seat.

In need of a Hall Tree? This is ideal for families and is made of reclaimed barn wood, stained dark walnut, and has 6-coat hooks in an oiled rubbed bronze finish.
Looking for outdoor furniture that’s all American? Lee Industries introduces their outdoor living collection that is absolutely breathtaking!
There are a ton of great companies that produces products right here in the U.S. Here are some of my favorites: Etsy, Harden Furniture, John Boos, Leather Creations, American Made Lighting, Mohawk Industries, and Shaw Industries. So, the next time you are shopping for that perfect sofa or chair, consider where it’s made.

Love…LOVE the farm table! I’ll take a rectangular farm table that seats 8-10 please. I’ve been looking at the local stores here in Tulsa, and online, but I wasn’t familiar with all the sites you mentioned. I’m checking out the websites as soon as I get done typing this. Thank you for the great information.
